Brushes have a long history in Japan, dating back to the Nara period when copying Buddhist scriptures became common. Over time, brush-making spread across the country. Today, paint brushes are made with different shapes and varieties of hair to suit the specific purposes and mediums of your projects. At pigment.mom, we have over 600 types of brushes, including rare ones that have been difficult to produce in modern times. You can try them out before purchasing in-store to find the perfect brush for your needs.
